International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation
National Steering Committee to Address Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) will be hosting a seminar on Thursday 4th February 2010, 10am-2.00pm, in the EPIC Centre(European Commission), 18 Dawson Street, Dublin 2.
The aim of the event is to mark, For the first time in Ireland, the International day of zero tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation. NWCI as members of the steering committee want to create an opportunity to highlight and discuss the ongoing work in Ireland and overseas to combat FGM. A new document entitled; "Ending Female Genital Mutilation: A Strategy for the European Union Institutions" will also be launched at the seminar, as part of the END FGM European Campaign. All welcome.
