DEVELOP A CHARTER FOR WOMEN'S EQUALITY - DONEGAL
12 May 2010
BE A PART OF MAKING IRELAND MORE EQUAL!
The economic downturn, radical changes in community and local development structures and massive cuts to women's groups and community projects are all having a serious impact on the lives of women and of those living in the most marginalised communities.
We invite you to help us to develop:
"A CHARTER FOR WOMEN'S EQUALITY"
Take part in discussions to see how you, your organisation/group and other agencies in your area can help to make Ireland a more equal and better society for women, men, families and communities.
Representatives of women's groups, community groups, statutory and local development organisations welcome.
The Charter will set out key principles and universal guidelines to be used by national organisations, state bodies, local agencies and community groups to support and promote women's equality in their work.
Places are limited so please rsvp if possible to Anne Gibney anneg@nwci.ie Please let us know if you have any specific support needs. Please bring along any material your group has produced which you think may be relevant to our discussion.
