NWCI Presentation at the National Economic Dialogue

The National Women’s Council of Ireland (NWCI) presented at the National Economic Dialogue in mid July, where our Director, Orla O'Connor called on the Government to prioritise investment in essential public services and infrastructure, particularly childcare, and reduce inequalities between women and men in Budget 2016.

Our key asks included

• Prioritise Public Investment for all over Tax Cuts for the few
• Childcare as Essential Infrastructure
• Attach strong Social Clauses to all public spending
• Ensuring a more Equal and Transparent Budget
