Repealing the Eighth Amendment - NWCI holds successful members only meeting

More than 50 NWCI group and individual members came together on the 16 May to discuss NWCI's position on repealing the Eighth Amendment and to share ideas how members can be involved in the campaign going forward. 

At the event, Leah Hoctor from the Centre for Reproductive Rights gave a very informative presentation on ten key health facts in relation to abortion. She also provided an overview of the legislation surrounding abortion across Europe. She highlighted that the vast majority of European countries provide women  with access to abortion on request or on broad socio-economic grounds for at least 12 weeks.

NWCI members then worked in small groups, colating questions and sharing ideas on how best to move forward the campaign to repeal the Eighth Amendment. We thank all of our members who came to the event for their great input.
