FemFest 2017

Join the National Women’s Council of Ireland for #FemFest, a major conference for young women aged 16-25 discussing leadership, equality and planning for that feminist future!

#FemFest is a fun and engaging space about young women and for young women. It will combine passionate and dynamic speakers of all ages with engagement from the audience with our brilliant line up of speakers!

#FemFest will:

  • Provide a fun and engaging space for young women aged 16-25 to engage with issues relating to leadership from a feminist perspective.
  • Explore and raise awareness of the issues affecting young women in Ireland today
  • Empower young women to use their own voice and agency by asking them to set practical objectives on how to address these issues into the future.
  • Create an important opportunity for engagement with a diverse group of women from all over Ireland, and from varying socio economic backgrounds.
  • Provide a legacy for future action to progress the rights of young women in Ireland

FemFest is a safe, inclusive space for young women. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes, the minimum age requirement is 16 and the maximum age is 25.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You can bring your printed ticket or you can bring the ticket on your phone.

I have accessibility requirements in order to be able to attend the event, who do I talk to about this?

You can email Laura: laurah@nwci.ie with any requirements but you must notify NWCI of these in advance of the event.

Are there gender neutral bathrooms at the event?

Yes.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Yes.

Will there be lunch provided?

Yes, a light lunch will be provided with some vegetarian options and limited gluten free options. We advise that you let us know in advance of the event if you have any special dietary requirements or allergies by emailing laurah@nwci.ie
