Getting Women on Board - Harnessing Women’s Talent in Companies
Wednesday, September 06, 2017
Join us for a lively discussion on how we can increase women's representation on company boards in Ireland.
Hosted by the National Women's Council of Ireland and the Norwegian Embassy, this event will explore how Ireland can increase women's representation on boards. Women comprise just 16% of membership of company boards in Ireland, which is far behind the European average. Following on from our publicaton 'Better Boards, Better Business, Better Society', this seminar will focus on the actions that we can take in Ireland to increase women's representation on company boards.
The seminar will hear from business lawyer, Liv Monica Stubholt, a partner with one of Norway's top law firms, Selmer. She will outline Norway's experience with the 40% gender quota for company boards and what Ireland can do to increase women's representation on boards.
With addresses from Nowegian Ambassador, Else Eikeland and Director of the National Women's Council of Ireland, Orla O' Connor, the seminar will also hear from women working in business in Ireland and what initiatives Irish companies can take to promote women and increase their particiaption on boards.
Refreshments will be provided after the event.
