Wild and Precious Arts Night

Put Wednesday March 8th in your diary because Kilmainham Arts Club is back with an eclectic arts night for International Women's Day. All are welcome to this event which includes presentations of art and photography on the big screen, short film, song, spoken word and music. The presentations - which highlight female talent and vision - combine to create a relaxed entertaining night which will inspire.

All are welcome & there's no admission charge. So far the confirmed line-up includes:

Emilie Conway - Emilie is an internationally renowned jazz vocalist, her upcoming project is - 'No Regrets' Across the Continents, the Music of Great Female Vocalists: Billie Holiday, Edith Piaf, Joni Mitchell, Abbey Lincoln, Elis Regina.
Kyla Thomlinson - Portrait artist and winner of the Sky Arts Portrait of the Year
Nicole Eve Rourke - writer and performance artist

Collections on the night (by voluntary donation) will be used exclusively to buy schoolbooks for Home of Hope for girls in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is a residential home for trafficked/vulnerable girls who are rescued from prostitution and exploitation, they are given a loving home and their education and training is supported so that they can take control of their lives.
