WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE? BE PART OF THE MOVEMENT FOR WOMEN’S EQUALITY – BECOME A MEMBER TODAY

Would you like to help make important changes in the lives of women and girls? Do you seek a more equal, diverse Ireland? Would you like to be part of the movement and show solidarity with women?

NWCI urgently need more members and donors to keep up our work. 

Membership of NWCI is open to all individual women and men who are interested in women rights and the movement for equality. Here at NWCI our members are key to everything we do, from delivering strength in numbers to ensuring the funds are there help us continue our vital work. Quite simply, we couldn’t do it without you.

At NWCI, we see the struggles affecting women in Ireland every day. Violence and sexual assault, childcare and elder care struggles, reproductive rights issues, inferior pay and treatment in the workplace and much more. We work, together with our members, to seek change in Ireland to ensure that men and women are treated equally and that the struggles that women have been facing cease to exist. We seek an Ireland where our daughters are not fighting the same fight in another twenty years.

As an individual member, you get to be part of this movement, to experience solidarity with women who need us to stand together and speak up.

Reasons why you should become a member:

• Be kept up to date at all times with women’s issues and news with our Newsflash e-zine.
• Networking opportunities to meet like minded people as you will be invited to attend all of our events.
• Learning opportunities as we hold free events aimed at providing information, for example the Seanad referendum debate.
• Have your voice heard! Stand up and be counted for as part of NWCI, where we represent you.
• Political engagement opportunities – meet politicians and journalists.
• We will welcome your ideas and requests.
• Social events throughout the year for members.
• In addition, you will also be helping to keep our organisation strong and progressive in making the changes that are needed for women and girls. You can choose to be as involved as you wish – some members like to attend all events and participate a lot while others are happy getting the updates and knowing they are contributing to a brighter future. We welcome all support.

As an individual member of NWCI, you get to be a part of the movement in leading the change for women’s equality and can really make a difference. Membership is just €5 per month (or €60 per year) or €20 per year if you are unwaged.

The key areas NWCI works on include:

• Campaigning for better childcare, long-term and social care
• Working for a healthcare system that meets the needs of women, including their reproductive needs
• Ending violence against women
• Promoting women’s leadership
• Seeking better representation of women in politics and decision making
• Placing women’s concerns at the heart of economic recovery
• Building a strong women’s movement

Our members tell us they take pride in being part of the change, and feel it is important to be supportive. We welcome members to all of our events throughout the year, including educational and social events, political engagements and more so you can enjoy meeting our team and other members too!
