Spaces of Hope - Imelda Graham & her work in a refugee camp in Lesvos - Dublin

Early Childhood Ireland is delighted that Friends First is sponsoring our special fundraising event with Imelda Graham on International Women's Day, March 8th at 6:30pm.

Join us next month at the Woodquay venue in Dublin to hear the inspirational story of Imelda Graham whose work in a refugee camp in Lesvos has led to the establishment of two kindergartens, one, a forest school, which Greek and refugee children attend together, and one for the refugee children in the camp. Hear about Imelda's practice, the conditions in the camps and what she's brought from Ireland to help her with her work.

Early Childhood Ireland wishes to honour Imelda’s contribution to children and their families who have been caught up in the appalling refugee crisis in Europe. Our sector is a predominantly female one, and International Women's Day is an appropriate date to celebrate and support the ongoing, inspirational, international work of an Irish early years leader.

All proceeds from tickets, along with the generous matched contribution from Friends First, will help fund the ongoing impact of Imelda's impressive work in Greece. Each ticket will raise €20, the additional €2.20 is made up of Eventbrite charges. Early Childhood Ireland is delighted to cover the costs of the venue. More details about the event to follow.
