Women Alone - A Unique Theatre Experience

Oxfam Ireland invites you to a unique event on Thursday 22 November in Bewley’s Café Theatre. This free event features a performance of Women Alone, a play by Joanne O’Connor, followed by a panel discussion. Inspired by the strength and resilience of the women we work with across our long-term development and humanitarian programmes, this thought-provoking play resonates profoundly as it tells a fictionalised version of the faraway stories we hear again and again in familiar accents against an Irish landscape. After the play, there will be space to reflect on the important role women play in lifting people out of poverty and helping communities to rebuild after disaster through an engaging discussion and Q&A with a panel of experts.
