Women in Law: A Private Screening of RBG

Description

Tully Rinckey are pleased to present a private screening of the ground breaking documentary, ‘RBG’, to a limited audience, on Thursday 19 September 2019, at the Lighthouse Cinema, Smithfield, Dublin 7.

The screening will be preceded by a wine reception, and followed by a panel discussion on the advancement of gender balance and participation of women in the Irish legal sector.

All proceeds will go to the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.

The Film

At the age of 84, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has developed a formidable legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. RBG chronicles the career of Ginsburg, which spans several decades, and how she developed a legal legacy while becoming a pop culture icon. The film is a biographical depiction of Ginsburg from her birth in Brooklyn, New York, her college education and subsequent career as a law professor, her appointment to the federal judiciary by President Jimmy Carter, and eventual appointment to the Supreme Court by President Bill Clinton. But without a definitive Ginsburg biography, the unique personal journey of this diminutive, quiet warrior's rise to the nation's highest court has been largely unknown, even to some of her biggest fans – until now. RBG is a revelatory documentary exploring Ginsburg's exceptional life and career from Betsy West and Julie Cohen, and co-produced by Storyville Films and CNN Films.
