NWCI submission to the DECLG consultation on Draft Framework Policy on Local and Community Development in Ireland

NWCI has made a submission to the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government in response to its consultation on a Draft Framework Policy on Local and Community Development in Ireland. NWCI has called for a clearer and more comprehensive definition of community development; explicit recognition of the need for gender balance in decision making structures; a gender and class analysis in planning and policies; and specific, measurable and time -bound objectives.
