Dr Maureen Gaffney keynote speech at IADT for International Women’s Day - FREE

IADT Dun Laoghaire is delighted to welcome Dr. Maureen Gaffney, well-known psychologist, broadcaster, and writer to campus to deliver the keynote speech Gender at Work for International Women’s Day. Maureen will look at this topic from a number of perspectives - how gender affects us/gender intelligence and the effects in the workplace. The session will take place at 4pm Monday March 9th in A019, Atrium Building, IADT Dun Laoghaire.
Maureen has a long-term interest in diversity and gender issues, and is a member of the Harvard Kennedy School Women’s Leadership Board, and served on its Executive Committee. She consults and works with a wide range of businesses and has served in a number of state and private boards, including as Executive Chair of the National Economic and Social Forum (NESF); Chair of the Insurance Ombudsman Council; a member of the Law Reform Commissioner; Council member of the ERSI.
She earned her B.A. in Psychology at University College Cork, her M.A. in Behavioural Sciences at the University of Chicago and her PhD at Trinity College Dublin. She is the author of the best-selling Flourishing (Penguin) and her new book Your One Wild And Precious Life will be published next year.
