Invite to launch of Women’s Participation in Public Consultation in Northern Ireland

Invite to Launch of Women's Participation in Public Consultation in Northern Ireland

All public bodies have to consult before they change or create new policy, or the services delivered in our communities, or even the shape of our communities and what gets built in them.

Women often don’t get the chance to take part in consultations, or maybe they don’t bother because it never seems to make a difference. We will be discussing the
discussing the barriers that still need to be addressed to ensure that women, especially those in disadvantaged communities, can participate in public consultation.

It's a chance for people who work in the community/voluntary or as a service user to sit around a table with the public officials who run those consultations and tell them what the problems are when it comes to women’s participation.

There are lots of people signed up from a range of public bodies and so we really need lots of you to make sure it is well balanced and that the views of women are represented.

To register please contact: Kellie.Turtle@wrda.net before June 18th.

Starts: 28 June 2018 10:00
Ends: 28 June 2018 13:30
Location: Belfast City Hall
