TWIN are celebrating by making it happen in Tramore on 8th March 2015!

• An exhibition and talks at the Coastguard Cultural Centre in Tramore, from 1pm-5pm and will appeal to men and women alike.
• Lisa Kavanagh and Betty Nugent Cuddihy will be presenting a photographic exhibition of Tramore's Working Women throughout the 20th century and Teresa Hayes will present a display of community and social activities that women can take part in.
• Visitors will have a chance to watch a live crochet demonstration and to try it out for themselves. At 3.30pm there will be an event called Celebrating Women’s Words, and anyone is welcome to read a piece of poetry or short prose by women writers. Traditional musician Aine McCarthy Kent will be providing music for the event.
• There will be a time capsule and people will be invited to contribute to the time capsule by leaving a handprint. The exhibit will finish with the lighting of Chinese lanterns.
• TWIN is also looking for nominations for its Tramore Women of the Year. Nominate your woman of the year by visiting their Facebook Page or send them an email.
