All-Island Women’s Forum Report 2021 - 22

The National Women's Council All-Island Women’s Forum Report highlights the findings and recommendations of the NWC All-Island Women Forum following the first year of monthly discussions on key issues affecting women across the island.

The Forum has made a number of recommendations to governments north and south, including developing an all-island strategy on gender-based violence, introducing gender quotas for local politics, and a north-south media partnership which would increase women’s voices on all-island issues.

The National Women’s Council (NWC) would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Reconciliation Fund in the Department of Foreign Affairs for funding this project. In addition, NWC would like to extend thanks to the Shared Island Unit in the Department of an Taoiseach for supporting this work.
