Relatives for Justice
Relatives for Justice
Relatives for Justice (RfJ), founded in 1991, is an Irish human rights organisation supporting people bereaved or injured during the conflict. Originally established by families affected by state and non‑state violence, RfJ now works inclusively with all victims and survivors.
RfJ provides therapeutic support, counselling, complementary therapies, and creative programmes designed to help individuals rebuild, heal, and manage the impact of trauma. The organisation also guides families through legal and investigative processes, offering assistance with documentation, case reviews, inquests, and engagement with official bodies.
Grounded in international best practice and informed by a strong gender‑aware approach, RfJ recognises that truth, justice, acknowledgement, and trauma support are interconnected. Together, these elements help victims and survivors participate fully and equally in post‑conflict recovery.
