Longford Women's Link (LWL) is an organisation focused on identifying and addressing key inequalities that prevent women in Longford achieving their full social and economic potential. LWL provides training and education opportunities for women, using the Women's Community Education Model. With funding from the Rural Development Programme, LWL are currently constructing a separate Training and Education Facility at the rear of its existing premises at Ardnacassa Ave., Longford. The new Facility is due to be completed by September and the organisation now wishes to recruit a Training & Education Business Development Manager to develop this Facility.

Training & Education Business Development Manager

The Training & Education Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing this new Facility into a viable self sustaining business by expanding on and delivering LWL's Training & Education Service to women from Longford and the wider Midlands community

The Training & Education Business Development Manager will have a pivotal role in raising the profile of the Organisation by promoting LWL's Training & Education service. The successful candidate will be expected to link strategically with other local and national services in developing the Training & Education service in the ethos of the Women's Community Education model, ensuring the needs of women are met in a holistic way. He/She will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of the Training & Education service and maximising income generation from the new facility. Responsibilities include, strategic planning, marketing & sales, tutor recruitment & induction, budgeting & financial planning and compliance with legislative and funder requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of a relevant business and/or training qualification with a minimum of three years relevant work experience, including demonstrable experience of financial management and income generation. Ideally they should have business marketing experience and the drive and ambition to further develop and existing service from a green field site. Salary for this position is €35,000 per annum. This is a two year fixed contract with the potential for a longer term contract if development targets are met.
