Sign the ILO Petition for Domestic Workers Rights

International Labour Organisation (ILO) Convention on Decent Work for Domestic Workers 2011

On 1 March DWAG (Domestic Workers Action Group) launched a campaign calling on the Irish Government to commit to supporting an ILO Convention on Decent Work for Domestic Workers.
Last year the Governing Body of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) decided to include an item on "Decent Work for Domestic Workers" on the agenda of the 99th session of the International Labour Conference. If agreed, this Convention will set international standards that guarantee domestic workers' labour rights. International domestic worker groups are seeking to mobilise support for an ILO Convention and to make sure that domesitc workers are fairly represented in the ILO process.
