Viva House opened on 4th June 2010

Sonas Housing has opened Viva House from Friday 4th June. Viva House is a much-needed women's refuge located in the Fingal area, which provides safe, secure accommodation and specialist support services for women and children escaping domestic violence situations.

Viva House comprises eight self-contained apartments and a large communal building with a children's room, playground and garden. As well as a service for women accessing the refuge, there is also a children's support service dedicated to the children of women accessing the refuge.

The interview with Sonas CEO Sharon Cosgrove regarding Viva House was part of RTE's report on the findings from Safe Ireland that there has been a significant increase in demand for domestic violence services in recent years.
