Terminations for Medical Reasons: NWCI supports women taking case to UN

NWCI fully supports women being forced to take a case to the UN for fundamental rights in the instance of fatal foetal abnormalities. 

It is terrible to see yet more women forced to international courts in search of their fundamental human rights. It is clear that the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill will not protect mothers who are faced with such difficult and traumatic situations, the Bill lacks the provision to deal with terminations in the case of fatal foetal abnormalities.

These women should be offered State support, and not ignored at the time of their greatest need.
