Age Action Self-Directed Ageism Toolkit Launch
Wednesday, October 02, 2024
Our new Toolkit is an e-learning and in person training toolkit for older people, groups and facilitators to use across the country to support each other to recognise and overcome self-directed ageism, which previous Age Action research found to be prevalent in Irish society. It will be launched by Mary Butler TD, Minister for Older People, and others will speak as well, including Professor Kathleen Lynch and members of the advisory group of older persons who helped to design it. We are also the conveyors of Positive Ageing Week, and the launch of this vital piece of work is part of our week long awareness raising activities under the theme for 2024 of challenging ageism. Positive Ageing Week happens this year from Monday 29 Sept to Friday 4th Oct. You can find out more about our work here www.ageaction.ie.
