Joint Shadow Report to the First Periodic Review of Ireland under the United Nations Convention agai

The Irish Council of Civil Liberties and the Irish Penal Reform Trust have produced a Submission to the Committee to the First Periodic Review of Ireland under the United Nations Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. The Report deals with rendition, refoulement, deportation, prison issues, issues related to the Gardaí, domestic violence, FGM, human trafficking, corporal punishment and mental health treatment.The Irish Council of Civil Liberties and the IPRT are seeking the endorsement from as many interested NGOs and civil society groups as possible. The Report is currently with the designer, so the deadline for endorsement is noon on Friday 15th. For more information, click here.
