WEBINAR: Taking Stock of the Violence Against Women Movement
Thursday, December 01, 2022
Currently, we are witnessing an increased backlash against the advances we have made towards achieving gender equality. Trends of concern include the spread of fundamentalist ideology across the world and the curtailing of civil society spaces. The ongoing problem of violence against women is one issue of particular concern. We are thus presented with an important opportunity to pause and reflect on our collective efforts over the last 30 years to end such violence. Where are we today? What have we achieved? Equally, what challenges do we face? What are the critical gaps? And what future directions are needed?
Register for an intriguing conversation with academics and activists reflecting on international and local experiences and perspectives concerning future directions for the violence against women movement.
