Today only just 13% of Ireland’s CEOs in finance are women (according to data published by the 30% Club). This figure has changed very little in the past few years despite one third of organisations claiming to have diversity initiatives. Stereotypes surrounding the types of roles available in financial services has added to the steady decline of women entering these sectors. As a result both recruiting and retaining female talent has become increasingly more difficult for companies.
