Rights, Resilience, Recovery - World Congress on Women’s Mental Health

Monday, March 06, 2017

More than 800 delegates from across the globe will come together for the 7th World Congress on Women’s Mental Health in Dublin’s RDS, on 6-9 March 2017, to coincide with International Women’s Day March 8th.

The National Women’s Council of Ireland and Trinity College Dublin are co-hosting the event with the International Association of Women’s Mental Health (IAWMH), supported by Conference Partners.

The Congress will explore the link between gender inequalities and women’s mental health. It will be a unique networking and learning opportunity for professionals of various disciplines to meet and discuss best practices and innovative developments to improve women’s mental health across the life cycle.

There will be a rich and varied academic programme. Cutting edge research and practice will be presented across different themes, including:

• Importance of gender sensitive mental health services
• Young women and mental health
• Reproductive & maternal mental health
• Violence against women

There will also be a social programme for delegates, including an Opening Ceremony and Gala reception, and of course a celebration on International Women’s Day. For further information on the programme visit the Congress website at www.iawmh2017.org
